The project which would be launched at an inception workshop at Wa, would focus on vaccinating animals, especially poultry, against these so called neglected diseases, according to the Ghana News Agency.

A statement issued to the Agency by the Regional Directorate of Agriculture at Wa yesterday (22 November) said the vaccination programme would involve vaccination campaigns against Newcastle disease among local poultry within the Upper West, Upper East and Northern regions.

It said the Northern part of Ghana had been selected together with the Republic of Togo, Burkina Faso and Benin because of the movement of people and live poultry across their common borders.
