VIV Asia 2011 Focuses on Technology

THAILAND - Technology will be a highlight at VIV Asia 2011 which will take place during on 9 to 11 March 2011 at BITEC, Bangkok.

Technology in focus is ranging from crop and feed technology to animal production and processing technology, covering the entire food chain under the show's 'from feed to meat' signature. When VIV Asia was first launched in 1991, one of its objectives was to introduce advanced animal production and processing technology to Asia. In its 10th edition and 20 years later, technology remains and will always be the highlight of the show.

"In a current situation, technology and innovation are undoubtedly a key success to everyone in the industry including VIV Asia 2011," said Ms Ladda Mongkolchaivivat, General Manager, N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd., partner of VNU Exhibitions Europe in the organisation of VIV Asia 2011, a well-known international B2B event for animal production and processing.

Optimistic

Ruwan Berculo, Project Manager VIV added: "Everyone is looking for new technology and innovative business solutions to improve their productivity to strengthen their competitive advantages. So, it is our duty to bring in those technologies to serve their demands. And we are quite optimistic that the outcome of VIV Asia 2011 will exceed expectations for everyone. VIV Asia 2011 will be the biggest edition of all time and will be full of new technologies covering the entire food chain under our 'from Feed to Meat' concept."

New profiles

To date, more than 550 exhibitors from around the world have booked their participation to showcases new and latest technology for Asian livestock industry. In addition to new and latest livestock technology on display, in the 2011 edition, NEO and VNU Exhibitions Europe will add new profiles to cover the entire food chain in response to stricter food safety requirement. The new profiles are FeedTech-CropTech Asia 2011 for milling equipment and technology and Laboratory@VIV Asia 2011, focusing on feed and food safety technology.

'Focus 2021'

Ms Mongkolchaivivat continued: "With 10 editions behind us, we aim to look ahead in 10 years. So we are organising 'Focus 2021' with Rabobank International as part of the Official Opening on 9 March from 10:30hr to 11:30hr. Rabobank brings in one of their leading key note speakers to cover the future outlook with a focus on animal production in Asia-Pacific over the coming 10 years."

She added that other interesting activities include 'ChinaVisions' (9 March 9 18:00hr to 21:00hr) and comprehensive conference programmes that will provide detailed coverage of all the sectors of the trade exhibition concept and the special events.

The organiser expects a total of 20,000 visitors from 90 countries at VIV Asia 2011. Pre-registration closes on 11 March.

'Better the Best'

Further, according to Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, Ms Supawan Teerarat as the Director of Exhibitions said: "TCEB is very delighted to join VIV Asia 2011. We are willing and very happy to embrace our full supports and render to Neo organizer in order to promote VIV Asia, one of the shows under our 'Better the Best' campaign."

'100 A-HEAD'

She continued: "For VIV Asia 2011, we have created the dedicated supportive campaign named '100 A – HEAD', which could entitle visitor promoters such as travel agents, international and local associations, chambers of commerce to gain US$100 for every delegate visiting exhibitions in Thailand. Delegates would have at least 15 people and have a minimum stay of three days and two nights in Thailand. With our rendered massive supports, we truly believe that the exhibitions held in Thailand will be executed successfully.

"This year, Thailand's MICE industry is expected to attract half a million business travellers, with project revenues of between 41 billion baht. Thailand has an impressive record of growth as an exhibition capital, and in 2010 we expect the sector to grow by up to 10 per cent."

Aquatic Asia 2011
