The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 1 on Friday, 4 March. The report states that the outbreak took place at a farm in Iksan City in the Jeollabuk-do province.

According to the report, a total of 50,000 birds were found susceptible to the disease, out of which six cases were identified. All 50,000 chickens were culled.

Although the source of the outbreak remains inconclusive, the veterinary authorities, in conjunction with the OIE, have resolved the issue.
