GREECE - Amvrosiadis has consolidated its position in Greece with SmartPro technologies from Pas Reform.

Greek poultry company, Amvrosiadis S.A., will consolidate its position as one of the country's leading poultry integrations, with a new SmartProTM hatchery installation from Pas Reform, capable of producing 250,000 chicks per week immediately, with expansion to 300,000 per week in the short term.

Amvrosiadis has commissioned the new hatchery to include the very latest SmartSetProTM Setters, SmartHatchProTM Hatchers with SmartWatchTM Hatch Window Module and Adaptive Metabolic FeedbackTM and a full suite of Hatchery Automation and Climate Control Systems throughout the new facility. Pas Reform will also deliver bespoke on-site Hatchery Management training.

Amvrosiadis S.A.'s works predominantly with contract farmers, although the company's own broiler farms still produce two million birds a year. In addition, the integration includes feed mill, slaughterhouse and frozen warehousing, to supply fresh poultry products of the highest quality under the brand name 'Kotopoula Exohis' (Countryside Chickens). A Company-owned distribution network delivers fresh produce directly to consumer outlets in central and northern Greece every day. The company has ambitious plans for future exports to Bulgaria, Romania, Albania and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM).

Company President, Ioakim Amvrosiadis, and his team selected Pas Reform's SmartPro hatchery technologies for the Dutch company's acknowledged expertise in delivering efficient, innovative technologies for hatcheries delivering strong growth around the world.

He commented: "For a consistently high quality product, managing the hatchery climate effectively is very important for us here. With a climate that changes from dry, high temperatures to much colder or more humid conditions relatively quickly, SmartPro and its advanced features will allow us to produce consistently high quality chicks throughout the year."

Pas Reform's local Agent, Nikos Vazeos, concluded: "With the addition of SmartPro technologies to already long established and well respected operations, Pas Reform is delighted to be contributing to Amvrosiadis' continuing growth in Greece. We look forward to working with Mr Amvrosiadis and his team."
