More than 30 delegates from eight countries, joined by the regional Ross Customer Focus Team and Aviagen guest speakers, enjoyed presentations, participated in case studies and shared market and management information during the three-day event.

One of the main focal points of the meeting was benchmarking and data. John Ralph, Aviagen's Head of Technical Systems, gave a presentation on Ross global field performance and analytics, which showed the superior performance of the Ross 308 in the TMEA region and confirmed annual improvements being made in line with genetic predictions.

Other presentations given included distributors' country presentations, the importance of the first 72 to 96 hours in successful broiler management, water quality and chick transportation. Time and priority management was also on the agenda, providing delegates with helpful tips and advice.

Syndicate groups enjoyed the opportunity to actively participate in a real-life scenario about preparing an action plan to assist a customer and a detailed presentation on the importance of data collection and regional comparative benchmarking concluded the event.

Puzant Dakessian, Regional Technical Manager, said: "This year's RDCFT was as always a great platform to convey collective and individual messages to our Ross distributors and GP customers across the region, highlighting the importance of local skills and working together for the best performance of the Ross bird at all generations.

"The poultry industry globally, but especially throughout our region, continues to grow, with many Ross GP distributors and PS customers expanding and investing in new facilities. Based on a growing demand for the unique genetic characteristics provided by the Ross 308, more customers than ever before are now requesting Ross 308 broilers and parents. This year's RDCFT was another stepping stone in ensuring Ross remains the breed of choice and our GP distributors the suppliers of choice in the region," he added.
