Three New Farms with Low-Path Bird Flu in Germany

GERMANY - Three new farms have tested positive for low-pathogenic avian influenza (LPAI), all of them near to the previous outbreak.

The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No. 1 dated 1 June to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

Between 27 and 29 May, three more farms in Gütersloh in North Rhine-Westphalia have been hit by the H7 sub-type of the LPAI virus. In all, 34,950 birds were affected, of which 33 showed symptoms and all have been destroyed.
