Aviagen Turkeys Inc. and VOMCP are pleased to announce the signing of a long-term agreement to supply 100 per cent Nicholas commercial turkey hatching eggs to Nash Johnson. VOMCP will manage Nash Johnson's current Parent Stock flocks on the ground, and Nash Johnson will continue to manage their hatchery and other operations in Rose Hill, North Carolina.

Jihad Douglas, president of Nicholas Turkeys, commented: "Nicholas has a long history with Nash Johnson, from the years that George Nicholas and Marvin Johnson worked in the industry together decades ago, all the way up to today. The Nicholas products have always been a part of the Nash Johnson system. We are very proud of the Nicholas 700 performance and are pleased that Nash Johnson will place 100 per cent Nicholas 700 in their operations."

David Kenyon, president of VOMCP, added: "We are excited to add Nash Johnson to the VOMCP portfolio of valued customers. This agreement complements the strategy we announced at the National Turkey Federation earlier this year, which is to provide the turkey industry with an option for sources of turkey eggs and poults. The hatchery construction in Iowa is progressing well and on time. The basic structure is completed and hatchery racks started arriving last week. We are looking forward to having the hatchery open house in November."
