POLAND - Poland could see its strong position in poultry exports threatened as Ukraine and Russia could enter the EU poultry market, the daily Puls Biznesu writes, citing experts.

According to The Warsaw Voice, experts claim that Ukrainian poultry prices are low and could become a serious competition for Polish produce in the EU states.

Poland exported EUR 714 million worth of poultry in 2010, up 20 per cent year-on-year, most of which was sold to the EU, according to the data of foreign agricultural markets monitoring agency FAMMU/FAPA.
