Biomin at SPACE 2011
FRANCE - The 25th SPACE, held in Rennes from 11 to 16 September 2011, ended on a highly successful note in terms of exhibitor numbers, visitor attendance and, above all, the very positive atmosphere for business throughout the show.Almost 109,000 visitors – an increase of 1.5 per cent on 2010 – came to SPACE, including over 10,000 international visitors (an eight per cent increase).
This 25th edition is set to be a landmark in the show's history, as a result of the high quality of contacts between exhibitors and visitors. This reflects the improving situation of farmers and suppliers in a number of livestock industry sectors.
Large numbers of exhibitors expressed their satisfaction with the number and quality of contacts they were able to make with industry professionals who were interested, well-motivated and offering good business potential. Even within the pig sector, currently the most troubled, exhibitors were pleasantly surprised to find that this SPACE was much more successful for them than in 2009 and 2010. In other sectors, such as dairy machinery and livestock equipment, contacts leading to concrete business opportunities were at an exceptional level this year.
