One New Bird Flu Outbreak Reported
VIET NAM - One new outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) has been reported at a farm in the north of the country.

The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No. 57 dated 10 November to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
The report describes one new outbreak of HPAI at a farm with 1,803 birds at Quynh Xuan in Nghe An province in the northern part of the country. All birds have been destroyed.
The presence of the H5N1 sub-type of the HPAI virus has been confirmed.
