"After a period of fast growth and development especially with the development of the complex of East London, the structure of the production of Cobb SA was stabilized under the management of Bonga Mavume as the breed director with two site managers Humphrey Mncwango in Carolina and Mervin Pillay in East London.

"The two sites are in quite different environments and such a structure enables each manager to focus on his own operation and implement more specific management.

"Carolina experiences major environmental variations. The implementation of a minimum ventilation system in all the houses has been greatly beneficial in maintaining excellent environmental conditions especially throughout the winter. Birds in a comfortable house will always produce better results.

"In east London where the environment is far more stable but far more humid, the same type of management has been able to reduce the moist ambient conditions within the houses."
