SRI LANKA - All poultry farms in Sri Lanka are required to be registered by 30 April with the Department of Animal Production and Health, official sources said.

According to ColomboPage, under the Animals Act all poultry holdings should register with the respective divisional veterinary offices before the deadline.

Registered farms would be entitled to incentives like vaccinations and compensation for viral diseases that kill the produce.

Once registered, the holding will receive a registration certificate carrying a unique identification number.
