Egg Production Grows Again

BRAZIL - Brazilian egg production in the first quarter of this year has grown for the fourth time running. According to the Brazilian Institute for Geography and Statistics (IBGE), production totalled 671.1 million dozens of eggs in the first three months of this year.

According to Brazil-Arab News Agency, there was growth of 1.4 per cent over the last quarter of last year, which confirms a tendency for growth that has been identified since the second quarter of 2011 in comparison with the prior quarter. With regard to the first half of last year, in turn, there was growth of 8.2 per cent.
