Glon Sanders has bought the chicken slaughterhouse Boynes at Loiret and the Amilly hatchery at Loiret.

Glon Sanders has also acquired the Clémont animal nutrition plant at Cher together with the integrated poultry processor Duc and the turkey slaughter plant of Blancafort in Cher.

The deal is part of a strategic alliance between Glon Sanders and Duke to develop the poultry industry in the central region, preserving the business interests, and retaining the industrial and agricultural workers producers.

However Glon Sanders said it remains concerned about the situation over the business at Blancafort where the goodwill has disappeared and the turkey slaughter market has ben damaged.

The company said it has noted the decision of the Tribunal de Commerce de Quimper to allow Doux to resume its turkey activities which will make recovery at Blancafort more difficult.

Aware of the economic difficulties of these four sites following the liquidation on 1 August, Glon Sanders and Duc said they will make every effort to ensure their sustainability.
