The seminar took place in the framework of Petersime’s Hatchery Guidance Programme and addressed a range of topics aimed at optimizing the performance of all of Japfa’s hatcheries.

The seminar was attended by over 35 staff members from Japfa Comfeed, including hatchery managers and technical engineers from each of the company’s 9 hatcheries. They were joined by Mr Nilton Pedro Vieira, Vice President and Technical Poultry Management Consultant of the company.

The programme featured an open discussion on the incubation report drawn up during the Hatchery Guidance Programme, followed by information sessions on various topics such as Synchro-Hatch™, HVAC maintenance, humidity management, etc.

Headquartered in Jakarta, Japfa Comfeed has invested in over 200 Petersime incubators over the years, more than 50 per cent of which are BioStreamer™ setters and hatchers equipped with the latest Embryo-Response Incubation™ technologies. Only recently, a total of 36 BioStreamer™ 24S setters and 18 BioStreamer™ 8H hatchers have been installed at the Medan hatchery and at the new Kediri hatchery.

André van Rij, Area Sales Manager for Indonesia, comments: “What made this seminar particularly interesting was its open character. There was ample time for discussion and Q&A’s. This way, Japfa Comfeed’s hatchery managers could not only learn from Petersime’s incubation specialists, but also from each other by exchanging experiences.”
