Conference Discusses Livestock Production Prospects for CIS Countries
GLOBAL - The development of competitive animal production in the Commenwealth of Independant States (CIS) countries, and especially in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, is currently being targeted and supported politically. These countries, which aim to become self-sufficient with products of animal origin, are investing considerably in promoting livestock and poultry farming. Whilst they are taking measures to protect domestic production they are also seeking new markets.
What are the prospects for development of animal production in the CIS countries in a global context? Such questions will be discussed by experts from the financial sector, trade associations and business farmers at the Eastern Europe Conference at EuroTier 2012 on 14 November.
The conference is organised by the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV), DLG, ADT Projekt GmbH and the Agribusiness Workgroup in the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations.
