Robert Roszkopf, Sales Manager, alongside Vlada Zima, Sales and Technical Manager for Czech and Slovakia, presented on the current global performance of the Ross 308 broiler, to the 115 poultry professionals who attended the event held in early November at the Grand Hotel Permon, Podbanske, Slovakia.

Robert Roszkopf said: “We were delighted to have the opportunity to speak at this event and represent Aviagen in Slovakia. It was great to see so many Slovakian and Czech poultry farmers come together and share their experiences. We wanted to show how our world leading Ross 308 broiler can perform in different countries and in different environments.

“The Slovakian and Czech Republic markets are really important for Aviagen so we are continually strengthening our presence and provide support to our existing and future customers on PS, broiler and slaughterhouse levels. This event gave us the chance to build our relationships in Slovakia and to let our customers know they can rely on our support here.”

Also presenting at the seminar was the Chairman of SPU, food experts from the Slovak Ministry of Agriculture, who spoke about changes in food production legislation, and veterinarians from the State Veterinarian Administration.

Ota Hrebicek, Director of Mach Hydina, Slovakia, one of the attendees at the seminar commented: “It is always great to meet people from a wide range of poultry industry roles in Slovakia and to evaluate our opportunities for the future. Such information like Ross performance worldwide gives us the chance to see what the genetic potential of the Ross broiler is and what can be achieved in Slovakia.”
