November Ag Products Index Up Compared to a Year Ago

US - The November All Farm Products Index is down 2.9 per cent from the October index but 10 per cent above the November 2011 index.

According to the USDA's Agricultural Prices report, producers received higher prices for broilers, eggs, and milk.

The November index for poultry and eggs, at 183, rose 10 per cent from October and 19 per cent above a year ago.

The November market egg price increased compared to a month ago and is also above November 2011.

The November broiler price is also up from October, and 12.0 cents above a year ago.

The November turkey price, at 74.9 cents per pound, is down 2.0 cents from the previous month and 3.2 cents lower than a year earlier.
