Poultry Feed Firm as Inputs Remain Range-bound
INDIA - Poultry feed prices were unchanged this week as ingredients remained range-bound.This was expected as soyameal, a key ingredient, has been ruling in tight ranges since January and stable since last week, The Hindu Business Line reports.
Other ingredients, meanwhile, have also been range-bound, without affecting the cost of production.
After declining a little last week, soyameal has been ruling unchanged at Rs 2,800 a quintal.
Bajra and maize were down Rs 10 each at Rs 1,370 and Rs 1,560 a quintal, respectively.
Defatted rice bran sold at Rs 715, while rice bran oil was quoted at Rs 55 a kg.
Mustard de-oiled cake fell further by Rs 10 at Rs 1,430 a quintal, while meat and bone meal sold were unchanged at Rs 32 a kg.
Broiler concentrate quoted at Rs 1,780 for a 50-kg bag, while broiler starter mash was at Rs 1,420.
Layer concentrate 25 per cent sold at Rs 1,385 for a 50-kg bag, while layer concentrate 35 per cent quoted at Rs 1,070 for a 50-kg bag.
Pre-lay mash quoted at Rs 990 for a 50-kg bag, while broiler finisher sold at Rs 1,400 for a 50-kg bag.
Increased offtake pushed up egg further, while broiler and chick ruled firm on Wednesday after a rally last weekend.
Egg was up 7 paise at Rs 3.62. Broiler quoted at Rs 120-125 a kg, while chick sold at Rs 33.
