BRAZIL - The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture has announced that two Paraná-based poultry processing plants have been released for exports to Russia.

Russia began the restriction back in June 2011 when the country stopped imports of animal products from Paraná, Mato Grosso and Rio Grande do Sul.

According to Secretary of International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Celio Porto, the release of these plants is the first concrete gesture of the Russian authorities "that makes effective suspension of restrictions on three states, announced in November last year."
