Chicken Price Drops 15 Rupees

NEPAL - The price of chicken has decreased by Rs. 15 per kg in the capital effective from Wednesday.

Nepalnews.com reports that the poultry farmers, entrepreneurs and retailers on Tuesday jointly decided to decrease the price of the chicken following decline in its demand.

As per the revised rate, the chicken will cost Rs. 285 per kg while the price of live chicken will cost Rs. 210 per kg, a decline by Rs. 10 per kg.

As the demand of the chicken has dropped by 10 to 15 percent, rise in the production of chicken has forced the entrepreneurs to decrease the price, according to National Chicken Sellers´ Association.
