OIE Reports LPAI Outbreak in Fujian
CHINA - The Chinese veterinary authorities have reported finding the low pathogenic avian influenza (H7N9) virus in one environmental sample of 686 at a market in Fujian.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 8 on 9 May 2013. According to the report, one sample from the environment was found positive out of 686 samples from Fujian.
Gene sequencing shows that it is low pathogenic avian influenza virus (LPAI), OIE reports.
The source of the outbreaks remains inconclusive.
