Ross App Commended at UK Pig and Poultry Marketing Awards
UK - The UK Pig and Poultry Marketing awards, held on 9 May, saw more success for the Ross App featuring information for Europe as it was highly commended for innovation.

The App, which was launched in the UK last year and Europe earlier in 2013, covers the Ross European Performance Objectives for Ross 308, Ross 708 and Ross PM3 birds. It also has a built-in European Performance Efficiency Factor (EPEF) calculator and a number of other useful tools including a unit convertor which incorporates industry-specific calculations.
The App won an award as it provides information in a mobile format. The judges commented that this initiative showed excellent innovation and simple, effective, and well planned use of technology.
Debra Malcolm, Assistant Marketing Manager for Aviagen accepted the award from Nigel Lodge, National Veterinary Manager, Zoetis, and said: "We’re delighted to receive this award. The app has been a real boost to our customers, providing a safe, easy to access tool that they can carry in their pocket. It is great that the judges have recognised this Aviagen innovation."
The IOS version is available to download from the Apple app store, the Android version can be obtained through Google Play. The app and the desktop and Mac versions can also be downloaded from the Aviagen webpage.
