Poultry Plant Reopened Last Year Closes

US - An Arkansas poultry plant that opened a year ago has been shut down.

The closure has seen 180 staff laid off while Horizon Foods finds more investment or a buyer according to a report in The Republic.

The plant that processed old laying hens and exported the meat was reopened last year after securing a $3 million investment for renovation work.

The former Tyson plant had been closed in 2003.
