The move following a crisis meeting in Rennes last week is designed to help the producers to better organise themselves and find solutions beyond the emergency measures already announced.

The aim is to help the sector build to the future and in particular the National Committee for the Promotion of Egg to step up its efforts to enable it to identify and point out to the producers developments, which will give each operator a better view of the market – something the producers have been calling for.

This government initiative will also explore opportunities for a collective industry approach to prospects for new export markets.

The findings of the mission will be presented to the Minister accompanied by proposal in early October.
