Brazil, the world leader in exports of chicken meat, has operations in more than 150 countries.

The UBABEF representatives also highlighted the differences that allow the Brazilian poultry sector to operate in various markets. Some of the differences are strict health checks, a sustainable production profile, high quality of products and the ability to produce according to the requirements imposed by the purchasing country.

Mr Santin said, "The ambassador has proposed actions to expedite the opening of Fiji for chicken meat exported by Brazil. Besides supplying its own market, the idea of the Republic of Fiji is to consolidate itself as one of the distributors of Brazilian products to the Pacific."
