Positive Indian River Association Meeting in Bali

INDONESIA - Indian River® customers gathered in Bali to attend the 4th Association Meeting and conveyed an optimistic message for the current product and its future performance in a number of markets around the world.

The meeting was held over three days for senior management from the Indian River customer companies and members of the Aviagen® global executive and regional Asia and Middle East, Africa Indian River team.

The event welcomed the new attendees and updated them on the privately-held holding company and owner of Aviagen, the EW Group and its long term R&D commitment in animal genetics, health and nutrition. Investment in specific technologies, many of which are industry firsts and were adapted from the medical industry, to make future gains from the genetic breeding program. This was followed by a review of the Aviagen global business performance.

Fred Kao, Business Manager for Indian River presented a performance review of the business and highlighted the future opportunities and target markets for the product. The formula for long term investment success was then delivered by a guest speaker with significant experience in Asia. Attention turned to a global overview of diseases and challenges in the Asian region before an informative and entertaining presentation on ‘Maximizing Productivity’ was delivered by a leading regionally based motivational speaker.

The second day gave customers the opportunity to present and commenced with an excellent insight into the experience of creating and leading an integration company by learning "mainly from within" to achieve success and recognition as a national supplier. Four country presentations covering Indonesia, Myanmar, Zambia and Malaysia containing key market and customer company performance data completed the meeting program.

"We come to these meetings to learn more about the breed and also from other companies and compare how they do things. It is also important to know the Indian River team and to identify if our people are getting the right support to optimize our results," commented Tan Beng Chuan from Ceylon Grain Elevators.

Mr. Bambang Budi Hendarto from Japfa Comfeed, Indonesia, added: "This kind of meeting helps the already good relationship between Japfa and Indian River get stronger. It is a chance to get to know more people as well and improve communication and understanding." .

Fred Kao, said: "It is great to see so many old friends and new faces in our meeting. The attendance has really increased and we believe this shows how Indian River has grown in the last 4 years. The important thing is to get all of the Indian River family members together to share and to interact with each other so we can all use the opportunities to grow and expand our Indian River name and brand across Asia, Middle East and Africa."
