Product of The Year is the world's largest consumer-voted award program for innovation in consumer products. This recognition has served as a shortcut for consumers to pick the best products, saving them time and money. The distinct red Product of The Year logo serves as a shortcut for shoppers in the supermarket to recognize which products have been voted on as the best in their category.

"At Eggland's Best, we provide consumers the best egg available and are thrilled to be recognized as 'Product of the Year,'" said Charles T. Lanktree, President and CEO of Eggland's Best. "Consumers can feel confident knowing Eggland's Best eggs not only taste great, but are also superior in nutrition and freshness when compared to other eggs."

As a result of our strict quality assurance programme and our proprietary all-natural, all-vegetarian feed, Eggland's Best eggs are more nutritious than ordinary eggs.

Eggland's Best eggs contain 25 per cent less saturated fat, 10 times the vitamin E, four times the amount of vitamin D and more than double the omega-3 fatty acids than ordinary eggs.

And a recent independent study published in The Journal of Applied Poultry Research concluded that Eggland's Best is the leader in egg freshness and that Eggland's Best eggs stay fresher longer than other eggs.

"For the past six years, consumers have voted on which products they trust and feel are the most innovative in their categories," said Mike Nolan, Global CEO for Product of The Year. "With Eggland's Best unique hen feed and production process, it's exciting that consumers across the United States voted Eggland's Best as their top pick in the egg category."

Product of the Year USA honored Eggland's Best and 23 other category winners at their annual ceremony last week at the Edison Ballroom in New York City. Other categories included beverages, personal care and household care.
