The company initially invested in colony production, but an increase in demand for barn eggs led them quickly into the barn option.

Big Dutchman’s Natura Step has been installed at Duncan Farms, ensuring high standards of welfare and production, with 40,000 birds currently accommodated at each site.

The Natura-Step aviary differs from other systems of the Natura-family because of its nest arrangements. The system can be installed in individual rows which allow the hens to move between the levels, especially the integrated nest level.

The stepped construction ensures that the hens can easily move between all levels.
