Agricultural Bank Backs Russian Poultry Plant

RUSSIA - A new poultry complex has been opened in Novotroitzk in Orenburg was opened by regional governor, Yuri Berg.

The plant that has been backed by the Russian agricultural bank.

Rosselkhozbank has a processing plant with a capacity of 4,723 tonnes of turkey meat a year.

The project cost RUB645 million and Rosskhozbank provided three quarters for the cost with RUB484 million.

The company focuses on the production of a wide range of products including turkey meat, sausages, pastrami and smoked products and production is expected to start this year.

The Eastern Poultry Plant is the first part of a complex that is expected to produce 20,000 tonnes a year.
