Former EU Commissioner of Agriculture to Address Egg Commission
AUSTRIA - Franz Fischler will speak at the International Egg Commission's Business Conference in Vienna during the new Production - Feed session on Monday 31 March.

By: In his speech, Dr Fischler will discuss the challenges and prospects of the European agricultural sector. His presentation will also include the development of the CAP and its impacts on food and feed markets.
Dr Fischler first joined the Tyrol Chamber of Agriculture in 1979 and in 1984, he became Director of the Chamber. In 1989, he was appointed Federal Minister of Agriculture and Forestry in Austria. In that capacity, he played an important part in the negotiations for Austria's accession to the European Union.
From 1995 to 1999, he was European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development and since then, he has focused on consultancy work.
