Two Newcastle Disease Outbreaks in Hamerkaz
ISRAEL - The Israeli veterinary authorities have reported two outbreaks of Newcastle disease at poultry farms located in Hamerkaz, affecting organic broilers in a yard and heavy breeders.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 2 on Monday, 3 March.
According to the report, a total of 43000 birds were found susceptible, out of which approximately 2100 cases and 1050 deaths were reported. A total of 41950 birds were destroyed.
The source of the outbreaks has not yet been determined.
