The Nation reports that Dr Harran Sarosh, Chairman of the Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) said today that the ‘temporary’ hike had followed a run of over-production.

He said farmers would be enticed into the industry by higher prices and supply would be ‘resolved’, normalising markets.

PPA general secretary Dr Bashir Mahmood blamed the current energy crisis on the slump in poultry output, as well as higher feed and medicine costs.
