It is the leading show held in Indonesia every 2 years and is hosted by The Ministry of Agriculture. The show was well attended and an estimated 15,000 visitors were reported to have participated over the three days of the event.

Considerable customer interest was generated particularly in the presence and performance of Arbor Acres in Asia and specifically in the genetic progress in growth rate and feed conversion of the Arbor Acres Plus broiler that has been exhibited in several markets in the region.

The Indonesian broiler market is the second largest Asian market and production has been growing at over 5 per cent annually as consumption is stimulated by population growth of around 3.5 per cent annually and is estimated to increase by 23 million between now and 2025.

A continuing surge of people moving from rural to urban living and the increase in per capita income will also be major drivers of poultry consumption which is at 7 kilograms per capita, just over half the current global average of 13 kilograms per person.

"We were pleased with the Indo Livestock Expo and Forum experience and we got to pass on a positive message regarding Arbor Acres performance," said Saksake Pacharadit, Assistant Vice President, Arbor Acres, Asia.

"We will maintain our effort and communication with several companies and endeavour to secure a position in the growing domestic market in the future."
