The plant is located in Tepatitlan, Jalisco.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan notified the National Food Safety, Health and Quality Service (SENASICA) of the export authorisation of Mexican pasteurised liquid egg to Japan.

The market was opened after efforts from agriculture officials, including visits from technicians to processing plants to ensure they were up to standard.

A document signed by the head of the Veterinary Services of Japan, Toshiro Kawashima, allowed the opening of the market.

The document further stated that authorisation is planned for another plant dedicated to egg pasteurisation and dehydration and located in the town of Pegueros, Jalisco, whose plant was also verified by the Japanese technicians.

The animal health certificate agreed for these exports must verify that the farms from which the products originated are free from diseases such as avian influenza, Newcastle, Salmonella and other diseases of importance to the country.

The conclusion of the Japanese technical team that visited the establishments was that controls and safety standards are sufficient to ensure that Mexican egg products can be safely consumed in Japan and anywhere in the world.

This opening of a new market for Mexico consolidates the production system and Federal Inspection certification as a reliable system that meets the strictest safety standards.

This provides reassurance to consumers, both domestically and internationally, and opens doors for Mexican products covered by these inspections to continue to expand their global preference.
