Merial Appoints Pierluigi Crippa as of Head of Business Operations Europe, Middle East & Africa
GLOBAL - Merial, the animal health division of Sanofi, has announced the appointment of Pierluigi Crippa to the position of Head of Business Operations Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

Covering 93 countries, EMEA is the second largest region in Merial with a broad portfolio across the pets, equine, avian, livestock and swine businesses.
Pierluigi will be responsible for leading the commercial operations and implementing the growth strategies in the region.
Pierluigi Crippa has a long experience in Merial. He joined Rhône Merieux in 1993 as General Manager & General Director of Istituto di Sviluppo Biologico Italiano. In 1997, he became General Manager for Merial in Italy and in 2000 Head of Avian Global Enterprise.
He moved to the position of Merial Italy Country Manager in 2005 before becoming the Head of EMEA Emerging Markets in 2012.

Pierluigi Crippa is a graduate of the University of Milan and holds a PhD in Animal Science.
