Petersime assists you in optimising your entire hatchery performance by looking beyond your incubators. We offer incubation training and hatchery management courses at starting, intermediate or more advanced levels. The Hatchery Management Training is set up for hatchery managers and their assistants that already have some experience with incubators and the hatchery workflow, but want to optimise their hatchery’s results.

During the training, ample attention is spent on egg management, logistics and HVAC systems. Participants will be able to significantly improve the bio-security in the hatchery. The training programme also includes courses on how to conduct comparative trials that include advanced hatch breakout sessions, and how to correctly analyse and interpret the results to bring them to the next level.

Subject: Training Programme.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Petersime and their staff for taking the time to cater to my personal training needs.

From my pickup at the airport to my hotel and travel arrangements to get me from my hotel and back there in the evening were very well organised. Upon arriving at the Petersime headquarters I was greeted by an enthusiastic staff. It soon became clear that Petersime has invested a lot in its training programmes and has built a wonderful training facility that is fully equipped and very comfortable. The training staff was very competent. They are all professionals and experts in every single field of this industry. It is clear that they love their jobs and are eager to share their knowledge and experience.

The lectures were extensive but not at the expense of having some fun in the process. Throughout the course I was provided with course material. Visual presentations accompanied the lectures. There was ample time to ask questions and openly discuss various issues. I also got an introduction to some of the latest research and developments conducted by Petersime and had the opportunity to have a tour of the production facilities.

Even though I have been a manager in this industry for over 30 years, I feel that I learned a lot and gained extensive knowledge. I can highly recommend this course to any hatchery manager.

I would like to thank:

  • Steven Lassuyt for his warm welcome to Petersime
  • Gavin Williamson for his time in training me on Iris™ interface, S-line hardware, S-line maintenance
  • Rudy Verhelst for sharing some of Petersime ideas for future products
  • Roger Banwell for training in egg management, information on the BioStreamer™ Re-Store machine, setting/transfer pattern, incubation history analysis
  • Kurt Hautekier using Eagle Eye™ for control/monitoring
  • Frank Verschuere (Incubation Specialist) for hatch assessment, poultry quality and using profiles in setters and hatchers to optimize poultry quality.
