Pieter Hemeryck, director Latin America of Petersime, confirms: “Latin America is still a relatively new market for Petersime. It is crucial for us to assist our customers to get the most out of their hatchery equipment. Many customers have just made the switch from multi- to single stage incubation. We want to assist our customers as much as possible in applying best practices, train them to organize maintenance and transfer incubation knowledge. This is what the Operational Excellence Programme™ is all about.”

Another product on display was the BioStreamer™ Re-Store, a solution for restoring egg viability after storage. Eduardo Romanini, hatchery specialist at Petersime, explains: “More and more hatcheries realise that it is possible to recover some of the losses associated with egg storage, even if the eggs are stored only for 4 to 7 days. With the BioStreamer™ Re-Store, our customers’ hatchability rates increase and uniformity improves in a very consistent way. This is thanks to our Embryo-Response Incubation™ technology OvoScan™, specially designed to work with Re-Store machines, that is able to control the right treatment period and eggshell temperature.”

If you missed the IPPE show, the Operational Excellence Programme and the BioStreamer™ Re-Store will be on display at VIV Asia in Bangkok (March 15th – 17th, H100, 1924).
