The courses brought together leading professionals specialised in poultry production coming from several countries (Poland, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Philippines) and was participated in by Professor Jean Michel Répérant, Doctor in Parasitology and Coccidiologist from a Public Agency in France, and HIPRA’s Corporate Product Manager for Coccidiosis, Martina Dardi.

Both sessions included practical aspects of the disease such as identifying lesions produced by different Eimeria species, their location in the digestive tract and the extent of injury caused. The courses were completed with practical examples and auditing of the application of the live attenuated coccidiosis vaccines “coarse spray” and a demonstration of the traceability concept provided by HIPRASPRAY®—a specific device for EVALON® and HIPRACOX® administration—and the HIPRALINK® vaccination management tool developed by HIPRA to provide traceability services. HIPRALINK® allows for the flawless documentation of the vaccination process in the hatchery and ensures that field technicians receive real-time information about the vaccination process.

The course is certified by the CPD Certification Service (an independent certifying body) and is part of the continuing education programme, HIPRA UNIVERSITY, which offers tailor-made solutions to veterinarians on training subjects.

With this activity and the opening of a new blog totally focused on coccidiosis prevention in poultry (http://eimeriaprevention.com/), HIPRA strengthens its commitment to Prevention in both Animal Health and Coccidiosis.
