Zoetis offering research funds for parasitic disease in poultry, other species
Zoetis is offering grants of up to $150,000 to find new approaches for controlling parasites in poultry and other species.

Proposals for poultry research, the company added, should focus on new approaches to control coccidiosis, the most economically important disease to poultry producers worldwide.
Through a grant-awards program, Zoetis will award a minimum of $25,000 and maximum of $150,000 to support each selected grant proposal. More than one grant may be awarded. The application deadline is Feb. 28, 2018.
“Through this grant program, we aim to energize investigation into anti-parasitic therapeutics research and advance science in this area of high need in animal health,” said Debra Woods, PhD, research director, head of parasitology global therapeutics research, Zoetis.
Zoetis is also seeking proposals that could extend the duration of efficacy of active ingredients using persistent formulations.
Grant applications (download) will be reviewed by a Zoetis committee composed of leaders from across divisions and disciplines. Candidates will be notified of the committee’s decision by March 31, 2018.
