He will assist customers in the region with achieving the best performance and profitability from their Hy-Line layers by advising them on management, welfare, and biosecurity matters. He is based in Indonesia, which is consistent with Hy-Line’s “global, yet local” position.

“We are happy to have Dr Santana join the Hy-Line team,” said Dr Ian Rubinoff, global technical services director for Hy-Line International. “His experience as a veterinarian working with hatcheries, commercial layers, parent stock and grandparent stock enhances the technical service we provide to customers in Southeast Asia.”

Prior to joining Hy-Line International, Dr Santana worked for PT Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara, providing technical service for East Java and Bali and for PT Charoen Pokphand Jaya farm and hatchery, with commercial, parent, and grandparent birds. He has also written articles on biosecurity, Newcastle Disease and various housing systems for Trobos Magazine.
