With a full range of feed medications, vaccines, direct-fed microbials and alternative products, the poultry industry has more tools than ever for managing coccidiosis.

Still, progressive poultry operations often rank coccidiosis as the No. 1 disease threat to the health, welfare, performance, and profitability of broilers.

Why does the parasitic disease persist? Where do control programs go wrong? And more important, what can be done to manage coccidiosis more dependably and consistently?

Three coccidiosis experts from research, production and industry will come together online for an informative one-hour roundtable, “Coccidiosis management: There’s always room for improvement.”

Featured speakers include Greg Mathis, PhD, president, and owner of Southern Poultry Research, Inc.; Jon Schaeffer, DVM, PhD, senior director of technical services, US Poultry at Zoetis; and John Smith, DVM, president of Alectryon LLC and former animal health director at a Fieldale Farms. The session will be hosted by Watt Global Media and guest moderator Joe Feeks, editor of Poultry Health Today.
