Brazil chicken producers face weaker buying power in November
Cepea links decline to lower bird prices and rising feed costs
Chicken farmers in São Paulo saw their purchasing power slip in November, according to Cepea. The downturn follows a record high against soybean meal in October, with buying power weakening again last month.
Cepea reports that purchasing power against corn also moved lower, a trend driven by falling live-chicken prices in the domestic market and higher soybean meal and corn values.
