Brazil egg exports rise 5.8% in November - ABPA
Year-to-date shipments up 135.4%
Brazilian egg exports, including fresh and processed products, totalled 1,893 tonnes in November, up 5.8% from 1,789 tonnes in the same month last year, according to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA).
Export revenues reached US$5.247 million in November, an increase of 32.8% compared with the same month in 2024, when revenues totalled US$3.953 million.
From January through November, total egg shipments reached 38,637 tonnes, up 135.4% from 16,414 tonnes a year earlier. Export revenues for the first 11 months of the year totalled US$92.130 million, an increase of 163.5% compared with US$34.965 million over the same period in 2024.
Japan was the leading destination for Brazilian egg exports in November, receiving 757 tonnes, up 266.8% year over year. Mexico followed with 284 tonnes, an increase of 51%, while shipments to Chile totalled 261 tonnes, down 29.1%. Exports to the United Arab Emirates reached 205 tonnes, down 9.7%, and shipments to Uruguay totalled 96 tonnes, down 16.9%.
“Exported volumes of eggs continue at a high pace compared to what was practiced in previous years, now, with new destinations of high added value, which has been favouring the profitability of shipments,” said ABPA president Ricardo Santin.
