Brazilian animal protein exporters project $45.5M from Sial China 2026
ABPA and ApexBrasil mission closes $3.25M in immediate deals at Shanghai fair
Brazil's animal protein exporters are projecting $45.5 million USD in business over the next 12 months following their participation in Sial China 2026, according to a consolidated survey of participating companies released by ABPA. During the three days of the event alone, deals closed totalled $3.25 million USD.
Held May 18-20 in Shanghai, Sial China is one of the most important international food and beverage platforms in Asia, bringing together importers, distributors, retailers and food service operators from dozens of countries. The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), organized a 72-square-metre booth structured for business meetings, institutional promotion and strengthening the image of Brazilian animal protein in the Asian market. Participating companies included Alibem, Aurora, Bello, Somave and Vibra Foods.
ABPA says this year's edition was marked by strengthened negotiations with Asian buyers and growing demand for suppliers able to guarantee regular supply, logistical predictability and high sanitary standards.
"China and the Asian market remain among the main growth hubs for Brazilian animal protein," said ABPA president Ricardo Santin. "Sial is a strategic platform to expand business, consolidate commercial relationships, and reinforce Brazil's position as a reliable and competitive supplier for global food security."
Following the fair, ABPA continued its activities in China with a Beijing Road Show on May 21, part of the sector's strategy to strengthen institutional and commercial ties with Chinese authorities, importers and stakeholders.
