COMPOSITION
MULTIMUNE K5™ contains five inactivated isolates of Pastuerella multocida
including serotypes 1, 3 and 4 and 2 isolates of 3 x 4. These isolates are typical
of field strains that cause fowl cholera and were selected for their ability to
stimulate strong, long-lasting immunity against Fowl Cholera infection in
turkeys and chickens.
Because the organisms incorporated in MULTIMUNE K5™ are inactivated, there is no risk that the antigens may revert to virulence or otherwise initiate vaccine-induced Fowl Cholera. The bacterin is emulsified in an oil adjuvant.

INDICATIONS
MULTIMUNE K5™ is recommended for use in healthy turkeys at least
18 weeks of age
and chickens at least 12 weeks of age to help prevent fowl cholera caused by
Pasteurella multocida infection.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
For ease of administration and to prevent shock, MULTIMUNE K5™ should be
warmed to room temperature. Subcutaneously administer 0.5 ml in the lower
neck region of turkeys and chickens in a direction away from the head and
parallel with the neck.
In turkeys, inject in the feathered area of the neck. Do not inject into muscle or neck vertebrae. For best results, give initial vaccination to chickens at least 12 weeks old and turkeys at least 18 weeks old and revaccinate 3 to 4 weeks later. Turkeys may be revaccinated at 3-4 month intervals.
