Print This Page Optifood to Build New Poultry Complex
RUSSIA - Russia's Optifood poultry producer is planning to build a new broiler complex in the Rostov region in southern Russia, according to the Interfax news agency.
Construction work will be undertaken by the Optifood-owned Zadonskaya Poultry Plant. Total investment in the project will reach RUR1.30 billion (USD48.5 million), with a return on investment expected within four year's of the project's completion.
The complex will have an annual production capacity of 40,000 tonnes of products, with production expected to reach this figure in 2009. Production in 2007 is expected to reach 12,400 tonnes.
