Print This Page India Seeks Lifting Import Ban On Poultry Items In UAE
INDIA - India on Monday asked the UAE government to lift ban on import of poultry products and allow public sector banks to open branches in the Emirates, besides seeking removal of other trade barriers.At a meeting here Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath took up the issue of opening branches of public sector banks in the UAE and lifting of ban on import of poultry products with the UAE's Minister of Economy Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, an official release said.
India also raised the issue of visa restrictions and import of pharmaceuticals and allied products. The UAE in turn referred to anti-dumping measures on its products at the first meeting of the India-UAE Trade Policy Forum.
