Print This Page NZFSA Recommends Regular Meat Testing
NEW ZEALAND - A proposal to regularly test meat and poultry for antibiotic-resistant bacteria is being put to the Food Safety Authority.It follows two years of research by a panel of science and health experts to consider how New Zealand's monitoring of the bacteria should be carried out.
Panel chair Donald Campbell says it is recommending a 12-month testing period for a range of bacteria starting next year.
