Pfizer Launches Poultry Health Division
US - Global animal health specialists, Pfizer, launched a new poultry health division at the International Poultry Exposition in Atlanta.The move follows the takeover of Embrex by Pfizer last year.
The new poultry health division is designed to improve health productivity and costs in the poultry industry. Pfizer said that the Poultry Health Division will aim to improve their current products while developing new and integrated poultry health solutions.

The division will aim to provide science, solutions, service and success, said Jim Gerardot group director of global marketing.
"Pfizer is excited about delivering innovative poultry health solutions."
Joyce Lee, Pfizer vice president of the poultry health division said that the acquisition of Embrex showed a significant commitment by Pfizer to the poultry health industry.
She said that while Pfizer already had more than 200 products in the pipeline, together with Embrex, the company was committed to furthering research and development.
Embrex, founded in 1985, is an international biotechnology company focused on developing biological and mechanical in ovo products to improve bird health.
Embrex is noted for the development of an automated machine, Inovoject, used to vaccinate chicks in ovo by delivering precise, uniform injections ensuring accurate dosage to all eggs.
